I am came across this book while I was reading The Familiars by Stacey Halls as part of my Bewitching Reads category. The book takes a completely different look at the Pendle Witch Trials-- through the eyes of a different historical character. These books were totally different reads but I will say I did prefer this book.
And so -mistakenly- thinking that this title would serve as a bridge in my great 2020 arc of reading. I had put myself on a reading journey by moving from Darkness to Shadow and thought myself as "Crossing to Safety" through "The Daylight Gate" and then "Waking Up" and finishing this epic literary journey by "Circling the Sun". Unfortunately-- for my arc --the Daylight Gate is the moment when the world spins from dusk to night--a gray period for sure just not the transition I thought. But 2020 being what was...I read it anyway and am keeping in this spot anyway.
