Manny Rivera Mystery #9
Yet another good mystery. I still feel this series is very much reading time well spent.
Manny no sooner gets back from a visit with his fiance than he gets assigned a murder case, the second murder in a month as another murder happened while Manny was out of town. The first murder seemed to be an open and shut case with the suspected murderer already behind bars--but when Manny finds clues that might link this murder to the first death--they may have arrested the wrong man. Manny re-opens that investigation hoping to find new leads...
In the romance department--the wedding is set for October and now they just need to decide where to live.
A little pet peeve (of the literal sense) Manny acquired a dog (Bentley) in the first book in the series--I often feel sorry for the dog as he seems neglected and left out in the yard all day--plus at the end of this book Manny goes on a personal hike and doesn't take Bentley--and then stays over night--is Bentley abandoned in the yard for the night?!?
