I continue on in my quest to read all of Ms. Howard's books--I first found her through her marvelous Cazalet series. 

This book is about 4 people, a playwright, his wife, his publicist, and his new assistant--four people and four voices. It begins in London then travels to New York City, then to Athens and on to the island of Hydra. I will admit that at first I didn't think I would like it and struggled through the first bit but as per usual the excellent writing and brilliant characterization drew me in and by the end I couldn't stop reading. Already have another book by this author in a TBR stack by my comfy gray reading chair.
